City of Lost Souls (Mortal Instruments)
I was so frustrated with Clary. She's so...I don't know. I can't even explain what she is. Okay, so maybe she's someone with a brave sense of wisdom that leads her into an epic journey but sometimes, it gets out of hand. And I just wished that she'd be more careful and think everything else out before sauntering through the paranoia. She's getting on me now and I don't want to hate the main character of the book. Because in all honesty, as much as what everyone had been ranting about how unoriginal and bogus the plot was, it was for me a great story line. Clary's fearlessness might be handy at times I guess but I don't like the way she puts her nose on everyone's sleeves like it's her responsibility to protect everyone. And you know what? It pisses me off.
It took all of my strength not to to put down the book and leave it there hanging. And the ending? I was expecting a lot. Did it satisfy me? NO.
